World Energy (CEO Ryu Jin-sang), the leader in local district cooling, recently developed the technology for high-efficiency single effect double lift hot water driven absorption chiller and it was recognized as 2020 public procurement product.
This designated high-efficiency single effect double lift hot water driven absorption chiller is consist of 2 stage separation heat exchange type, considered energy saving, compact for installation and convenience in maintenance with 100% load Coefficient of Performance (COP) 0.78, Integrated Part Load Values (IPLV) 0.95. This model is usually used in local district cooling and able to apply for waste heat recovery in the industries.
World Energy has upgraded this model four or five times to increase efficiency and improve quality since they developed single effect double lift hot water driven absorption chiller for local district cooling with Korea District Heating Corporation in 2007.
To solve the shortcoming of the product in initial development, World Energy moved the support chamber to the side of bottom chamber to minimize its failure potential, they developed the product’s COP from 0.64 to 0.73 to improve economic feasibility of the district cooling in 2013.
